Everything tasted fresh, like it was good quality, and it was well prepared...but I don't know that Eggs Benedict is really worth $40. I did not try the buffet (because I was not that hungry), but it looked like a nice setup. If I was with a group I would come early, enjoy a leisurely breakfast/brunch, and splurge on the (kind of) pricey buffet! Oh - 3 stars for atmosphere because it looked a little dated (for people that care about that thing - although I don't).

We had the avocado on toast and eggs benedict. Food was good and nice ambiance in the sunroom with beautiful views. They have breakfast buffet in the weekends and holidays so would definitely come back to have that experience.

Came here for brunch and was so impressed with the selection, quality of the items, and the notation of numerous gluten free options. Our server Mary was exceptional! She helped answer my many questions about the ingredient due to my dietary restrictions and was so friendly! The views of the greenhouse overlooking the pool and gorgeous snow made everything complete. Thank you for an amazing brunch experience!

I had high hopes for this breakfast, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences. The restaurant is located inside the Sonnenalp Vail hotel. We arrived around 9:30 AM and were greeted by a waitress in Swiss attire, who informed us of a 5-10 minute wait. In reality, we waited over 20 minutes.Since I was excited, this wasn’t a big issue at first. The atmosphere was nice and clean. Despite it being off-season and the restaurant not being busy, the service was incredibly slow.
We originally visited to try the SIGNATURE SONNENALP BREAKFAST, but it had been removed from the menu (just for your information). We ordered Hot Chocolate, coffee, EGGS BENEDICT, SWEET BEGINNING, and YOGURT AND GRANOLA. After our drinks arrived, we waited over 40 minutes with no food. What began as excitement quickly turned into frustration, especially since we had other plans. Still, we decided to wait, though our patience was running out.After 40 minutes, a waitress finally informed us they were running out of eggs, which was delaying the Eggs Benedict. She apologized and assured us it would be ready soon. However, we noticed a table that arrived after us was served Eggs Benedict before we were, which was confusing and frustrating.
Eventually, our food arrived. If we had known about the delay earlier, we would have left much sooner. The whole breakfast experience was ruined. While I didn’t want to leave a tip, I still left 15%. We spent over $90 on what ended up being a terrible breakfast experience.
The food was nothing special, and the service was poor. Don’t go in with high expectations. I certainly won’t be returning.

We came into this restaurant 10 minutes before it closed for breakfast after realizing our hotel wasn’t offering any kind of warm breakfast. They quickly sat us and brought a HUGE cup of coffee, I have to admit, my heart was happy. We ordered two omelets with hash browns and toast. Everything was really tasty and the service from our waitress was great. The restaurant itself is rustic, with a Bavarian feeling to it and it sits next to a small creek. If you can sit outside, do.
